Our Approach
Delivering learning that works
We’ve been helping leaders transform the experience of work by designing, delivering and managing leadership development for almost 30 years. We make it our business to ensure we deliver the most effective facilitation, coaching and consulting by keeping up to date with the latest thinking in leadership behaviour, learning science and transfer. We take this deep understanding, mixed with our own insights and data to make our leadership development experiences practical, relevant and most importantly deliver learning that works.
We create learning experiences that are engaging and fun even though the subject matter is often serious.
So, whether it's through face to face leadership programs, workshops or virtual engagements, executive offsites, team effectiveness or coaching, we support leadership development and real behaviour change.
And, we know from our impact measurement and participant feedback that we are pretty darn good at it too!
Leadership the lever
Over years working with our clients we have developed a deep understanding of the role of leadership within the business context and step one in any learning engagement is focused on helping leaders understand this too. A leader’s role is to drive high performance aligned to desired business results and effective leadership behaviour is the catalyst for creating the environment that enables that performance.
When you work with LIW, your leaders don’t just understand this, they gain simple yet effective core tools and the leadership capability to apply those tools effectively, they understand the optimum conditions required, unique to their setting and return to work highly motivated and able to create them.
The Challenge
One major hurdle in leadership development is translating learning into everyday practice. Often, what leaders learn conflicts with their current environment, and changing that culture falls solely on their shoulders. Existing systems and processes often work against them, making change even more difficult. Without this crucial transfer of knowledge, leadership development initiatives risk falling short of driving real impact on performance and business results.
As a result, everything we do is carefully designed using an evidence-informed approach, to sustainably shift leadership behaviour. Leaders apply their learning by taking practice out of the program and into the real work environment by identifying day to day opportunities, ensuring that transfer of learning.
