The context
Gategroup is a market leader in airline catering and have ambitions to continue raising the bar, responding to environmental factors and sector challenges with agility and strength. They identified a development gap in their senior leader population, understanding the crucial role this group have on delivering the strategy, including building a strong talent pipeline and reinforcing the gategroup culture.
Our approach
LIW designed and delivered grow@gate, a 10-month leadership experience delivered both virtually and through two 4-day immersive in-person workshops. The design integrated their Leadership Framework and was designed to achieve real-world impact for leaders who are responsible for delivering the new 5-year strategy. A team of 4 facilitators maintained consistent, high-energy delivery across all regions.
The lasting result
grow@gate achieved incredible results, both quantitative and qualitative, with numerous examples of how shifts in these leaders’ behaviours have not only driven greater internal collaboration and operational efficiency, however they have led to moving away from the time-consuming ‘doing’ behaviours to providing their teams with more clarity and opportunities to step up and take on more responsibility.
