Discover valuable insights on multi-team systems and how to leverage its benefits
During the academic year 2021 a team from LSE carried out research into multi-team systems (MTS), defined as collections of teams that work toward a common goal.
Their objective was to explore:
- how prevalent MTS are in organisations today,
- what advantages they bring and
- what challenges are raised by the transition to MTS from a more traditional hierarchical/silo structure.
- Finally, the researchers offered some insights into the ways that leaders can facilitate the transition and enable organisations to leverage the benefits of MTS for employees’ performance, wellbeing and organisation outcomes.
