Andrew Deller

I have over 16 years of commercial experience in Financial Services and over 18 years of experience in the field of Leadership consulting. My commercial experience spans the UK, Europe, and sub-Saharan Africa where my last Corporate role saw me lead a team of 80 individuals located across 12 African countries, implementing a continent-wide change program alongside BAU deliverables. As a Leadership Consultant, I have worked across most of the world with significant experience in Europe and the Middle East. I have spent a lot of time working in Professional Services and Financial Services as well as Pharma, Technology, Manufacturing, and Retail. I have also become somewhat of an expert in the leadership challenges within Internal Audit teams.

Designing and running a Leadership program for a medium-sized cadre of leaders within a business that is leaning on them to grow their capability, performance and influence would be my most rewarding assignment. I have always enjoyed 'getting under the skin' of the commercial realities of my clients' businesses and I seek to understand the dynamics that drive the business as well as the interpersonal levers that enable them. When 'in the room' (virtual or otherwise) I seek to build conversations amongst the group so that all can contribute and all can learn. I thrive in one-on-one coaching conversations with individuals who are determined to grow and/ or overcome challenges in their path. My strengths are around interpreting the need and tailoring a way forward that reaches the desired outcome, and then engaging the participants in their journey of discovery to achieve that same outcome.

The concept of personal choice is at the core of my Leadership and coaching work. I believe that we often 'over look' the power of choice that we can always exercise about how we choose to lead, tackle difficult challenges, fix relationship issues with other people, and organise ourselves to get things done. Whilst we don't consciously over look the power of choice, we do need to remain mindful and aware of the power that exercising choice can bring us.
