Steve Baker

My career background was in banking. For the first 13 years of my career worked in several large banks in the UK and Australia. Experience included roles in lending, leadership, and internal consultancy (lean and Six Sigma). In the last 10 years as a consultant, I've worked in a range of industries including financial services, law, professional services, airlines, software, retail, healthcare, and entertainment.

Working with intact teams that are looking to improve the way they operate, build trust, communicate more effectively and maximise performance is what I love to do the most. I'm fascinated by the way we think and act as people and I love to work with people at a deep level to understand themselves better and how they can think and act differently to get more of what they want in their lives.

The models, tools and methodologies I use are always case dependent and in service of what the client needs at that time. I believe to be truly effective you need to have access to a range of tools to meet the client where they are and be effective in helping them to change.

We cherish the people at LIW. We are a group of experienced and skilled facilitators and coaches who bring passion and energy to our work with clients. I consistently learn something new when collaborating with any of my colleagues, and they bring joy and a genuine sense of purpose to their work.
